This cookbook list over 200 sandwich spreads that are found in every food category and are found in households worldwide either in Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada and the United States.The author also gives emphasis on key ingredients like spices and herbs, equipment to use, and gives you the endless possibilities to make your own sandwich spreads for you or maybe on your next party.

I thought this was a great idea for a recipe collection but it was quite a disappointment.Yes, there are a lot of recipes for various sandwich spreads, which is what I expected throughout, given the title but there are a some recipes that aren't.For example:a recipe for homemade: Condensed Milk ...which by the way contains a whooping 4 CUPS of sugar. I can't really imagine spreading that on a piece of bread. ;-) Unless you need a serious sugar fix. Very unhealthy too.A lot of recipes are just embellishing a cup or more of mayo with some herbs, spices etc...not all that original.On the plus side, I did pick out a few recipes that I would consider trying such as the: Pistachio Tapenade but overall, not much that appealed here.This eBook also needs a proof read in a big way. The capitalization of the names of ingredients and some of the rather strange wording, was distracting throughout.

The amount I spend on Foodler deliveries each month would shock you, especially if you knew how careful we have to be with our budget, but it is rock meet hard place around here trying to balance our money budget with my ability/energy budget.This cookbook is a big help. The recipes are easy to make and clean up after. The finished products are easy to keep around so that my kid can feed himself when he is hungry. And many of them are unique as well as delicious - stuff I never would have thought of - made from stuff I already have. MFK Fisher would be proud.

The recipes are well laid out and the directions are simple and clear.The recipes are well enough written that a novice could follow them, and interesting enough for a skilled cook to enjoy. Most of them use ingredients already in most well-stocked kitchens.Oh! I almost forgot the bread baking booklet sent to readers as a gift for buying the cookbook - Simple recipes for bakery grade breads anyone can make on his own – now that’s a lovely side dish to the main spreads cookbook!I truly recommend 201 special recipes for sandwich spread, and hope that you enjoy it as much as I have!

I tend to take notes when I'm reading a book like this, on the craft of writing. I can refer back to my notes quickly when I need reminding or have a question. Because of this I tend to read these "How To" books a little differently than a casual reader. During this process (the reading and note taking) I have fought the urge to hit my head on a wall repeatedly. The author repeats the same assertions again and again in six different ways without shining any new light on the subjects. What's worse, the subjects are repeated in six different chapters, and again, nothing new is said. There's a section on the basics of how to write fiction. Which should have been left to a book on beginners fiction writing and not something I feel is beyond the basics. This is a book on how to think about having your characters think of safe sex. I was disappointed that there are no discussions on the stages of romance, or how a couple can get from first sight to intimacy. Nothing along those lines, except a referral to another book. Grrr. I realize its an entry level book to the topic. All "Complete Idiot..." books are. But this entry level is to the level of banality. I would not buy this book again. I'd rent it from a library, borrow it from a friend, or more realistically I'd skip it all together. There's nothing here that you couldn't find online or figure out yourself using common sense. Unfortunate really.

Does exactly what it says on the cover. I wasn't sure if writing romance was for me, so I bought this, figuring I would help me work out whether I could manage this or not. Haven't read any other books on the subject. But after reading this I feel like I have a decent enough grasp of the requirements to at least make a start. Probably I'll want more information later, if I go on. But that's what an idiot's guide is, i suppose. A primer. At least as far as that goes, this is a good introduction to writing erotic romance.

This manual is great and likely different from some of the other how-to manuals on the subject of romance fiction that you might have already read.Kent spends a great deal of time dissecting what makes erotic romance fiction different from romance fiction. Detailing the distinction between genres/subgenres is what makes this guide different. I also really appreciate the insightful guidance about how to write in Deep Third Person Point of View. Also, Kent solicits and includes relevant and helpful feedback and advice from many prominent authors in the erotic romance genre.This is a great book for beginning writers but I have read a great many published books whose authors should pick up a copy too.

I didn't like this one. The info was too general, not very helpful for specifically writing Erotic romance. I'd have been better of purchasing a general Romance writing book.

This book could have been better but it was good. I read it in one night and then looked over it a few times. It never talks about e publishing nor self publishing. And sometimes the chapters seem in the wrong order. It has good information. Sometimes it seems like she is saying the same thing over and over again.. It talk also about how to handle people who dislike erotic. Good book.. all together

This was and still is very helpful in my writing. It has tons of great advice and helpful hints. It will just be up to you to implement them. The only thing i found it lacking is how to get published section, but i guess that will be another book. Good Luck to those who are seeking this endeavor :)

If you ever think of writing erotic romance—or any romance for that matter—you need to read this book. It is filled with general tips in plain and understandable language that engages you and make you want to smack your head saying - she makes it sound so easy. Great reference.

For someone who's just embarking on the erotic romance writing front, this book was perfect for me. Informative, balanced, full of tried and tested wisdom, and packed with lots of extras. Love that there were examples and it wasn't just a boring, dry non-fiction book.

This was the first metaphysical book I ever read and still my favorite. Metaphysics being what they are I had a synchronous meting at a bus station while in college years ago with the niece of the author. Not sure if this is the right volume, but an astrophysics major borrowed one of the volumes because it has a perfect description of a black hole decades before they were discovered.

I read these books, now published for almost 100 years, when I was 20 years old. They came to me almost with no explanation, and I was transformed in reading them. Over the years, I've read them two more times, and they still affect me in a very deep way. I don't know if they are factually true books, but to me they represent the truth of who we are as human beings with a divine nature. If they call to you, I highly recommend them.

This book has been shown to be fiction, the author made it up. At the time he claims these events took place and he claims to be 40-something years old at that time witnessing all these miraculous events with a team of scientists on this trip to the Himalayas, it is actually documented that he was a twenty-something working on mining jobs in the USA and Canada at that time. He lied about his date of birth (moving it 20 years earlier), his place of birth (US, not England), his name, and where he was at the time these supposed events took place (he was not really anywhere near the Himalayas, he was working at jobs in US & Canada at that time, that is documented). Just do a basic internet search on the authors pseudonym to find these documented facts. There are lots of amazing events in this 5-volume book but not enough detail about the location to determine exactly where it took place, unlike the usual meticulousness with which scientists usually take notes, and none of the other fictional scientists on the team have ever come forward in real life to say they actually exist and were there too. IT DOES A GRAVE DISSERVICE AND BAD KARMA TO PERPETRATE A DECEPTION LIKE THIS BOOK AND PASS IT OFF AS A REAL EVENT, SINCE IT MAKES PEOPLE CONCLUDE THAT OTHER EVENTS MAY ALSO BE FICTIONAL, OTHER EVENTS THAT MIGHT ACTUALLY BE TRUE.

I loved this book and went to many of the sights in it. IT really is fantastic and you can't find this stuff online. Not in the detail it gives.

It lives up to its name. But it must be an old book. Didn't feel current.

I'll start by saying I like this book. I bought it yesterday and did not sleep last night for reading it, even though I had a very important meeting this morning. Boulware's look at San Francisco is entertaining. But it's not exactly fresh. This book tries to take over where Eldritch Weirde's "A Guide to Mysterious San Francisco" left off several years ago, but falls severely short of the mark. Perhaps what annoys me, or irritates me or alienates me about this book is the fact that it is written from an outsider's point of view. Boulware writes many of his articles from an "us vs. them" point of view, the "Us" in question being intelligent, right-minded people and the "Them" being the freaks from San Francisco. The tone is not reverent, but mocking. Boulware belittles us at every turn, whether making fun of the way we dress while dining late-night at Sparky's, or swimming the Bay with the Dolphin Club. Boulware treats San Franciscan's like his own private freak show. It's obvious that he's not from around here. That said, the book is still entertaining and chock full of interesting facts. It will take you to places you wouldn't find in an ordinary guide book and you may or may not be the better for it. For a real treat, a reverent, loving guide to SF strangeness, pick up the aforementioned book by Dr. Weirde. It's out of print, so it will take some hunting, but it's well worth it.

I had a few extra days in San Francisco on a recent trip, so I got this hilarious and irreverent guide to the "unknown" San Francisco. Boulware gives us the insider's tour of weird Chinatown bars, the Coltrane Museum, the scary Musee Mechanique, wife-swapping motels for swingers and much much more. With hours, phone numbers and directions for the very intrepid explorer. A must for even the most jaded Bay Area lifers.

Reading this book has put my life back in the fast lane to simian utopia. I have purchased two copies one for reading and one to keep safely sealed in plastic. Mr. Boulware may very well be the next John Updike. SF Bizarro is both true and touching in it's ginger yet whimsical exploration journey into the very soul of San Fran. I hope to find Mr. Boulware very soon and let him know how much we have in common. SF Bizarro is not just a "guide to freakiness" it is a self help guide to just being you in the topsy-turvy quagmire, nay, rock-n-roll soup that is Frisco. Peace
