It includes a lot of different islands, but we were just interested in the Guadeloupe part, but will keep it in case we visit other islands nearby. The guide was a good one. I recommend it.

Lots of detail and a must for getting off the main road and really travelling around the islands. We spent two weeks on Guadeloupe, but it was not nearly long enough. It is a beautiful place, with much to see and do, great beaches and friendly people. If you go it would help to speak a little French because no one there speaks English. If not, go anyway.

Needs to be updated

I wish these guides would have more pictures. Hey, I'm not 12 years old - but maps, graphs, and an occasional b&w view of a town/hotel/port would be really swell. (ok, part of me is 12)...

This travel guide is outdated. Although it mentions it was published in 2009, the prices for Martinique and Guadeloupe are in French francs. The euro was introduced in 2001.....

Each chapter is thematic that runs more or less chronologically. Photographs and sidebars are dispersed throughout a chapter, and each page has plenty of white space. The only detraction--a little more line spacing would help those children with borderline vision issues. Several maps are incorporated throughout the book, so that purchasing additional specialized maps may not be necessary for the cash-strapped. At the back of the book, there is a Timeline, reading & website list, as well as an index.There is also a single Primary Material and Resource book that supports the whole series for deeper enrichment.Children like the fact that each ancient world volume is library bound in its own text. They are a manageable size. They do not have to lug a heavy tome around for year, that inevitably gets tattered due to its size. I have used these volumes in two rotations and will use them again for third and they appear like new.This series is an excellent investment without having to cost an arm and a leg.

Some students loved this book because it had, "all sorts of gross stuff," but the teacher loves it because the history is sound, balanced and very, very interesting to eighth grade students.Beware that boys, even those who ususally skip assignments, may read ahead in this one. The book was in great condition but just be aware that there is NO web access code. It’s just the book. I originally bought it for the access code and because I like have a physical book, I was disappointed that there was no code and returned it as soon as I could. The seller made no issue and encouraged that i return it and buy the book with the code which by the way is more than twice the price so, NO thanks. I’ll stick with the E-book.

I have never been the greatest at math, i have also never had a math book that has gone over the material in so much detail. The way that book explains the sections is made very simple and straight forward. The most important aspect of the textbook is the ability to check your answers in the back of the book. If you're in a math class and possibly having a tough time comprehending the material, I highly recommend this text!

Seattle resident Sandra Woodward Darling, the creator of the popular Good Dog Carl series of children’s books, is better known by her pseudonym, Alexandra Day. She is loved the world over for her sumptuously illustrated series of Carl books, the first of which was Good Dog Carl, published in 1985 it tells the story of a dog named Carl who looks after a baby. Thirty plus years later 24 Carl books have been published, with over 6 million books in print. When not painting or tending her garden she visits libraries and schools with the dog to promote reading and therapy animals.

When creating this travel journal, Cate Brubaker has given plenty of thought not only to its design, but also the insightful content. Slender enough to tuck into a backpack or bag, this one is full of helpful prompts, lists, questions and quotes to get you thinking about your journey before, during and after. The “Travel Snapshots” are an especially good tool to capture what you are experiencing and feeling on particular days of each trip, adding to your memory bank. I’ll be using mine on an upcoming trip. A great gift – for others as well as your traveling self!

I love the style of this journal. It's a good mix of structure and prompts as well as blank or multi-purpose space. I could see using it up in a 10 day trip if I was writing daily, but it could also realistically last for a month-long trip as well. I especially appreciate the extra attention to the pre- and post-travel aspects because to me, planning and anticipating travel is just as fun as the trip itself, and reflecting afterward can make the experience so much more impactful. This goes deeper than any other travel journal I've seen. Definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic wee book for anyone looking to get out into the world.Preparing for any international experience can be daunting, but this journal has some excellent suggestions of things to think about pre-departure to help make the planning process easier. I see this being particularly useful when the culture shock sets in, as it provides a place for travelers to jot down their feelings and keep a diary of how things are going. I also particularly like the section on re-entry, which can be the hardest adjustment of all. Having somewhere to write down memories, feelings, ways in which you've changed and other such musings is really important and helps frame the experience. I wish I had had something like this during my travels!

I am so excited to use this travel journal in 2019! Compact and sturdy, this perfectly sized notebook will fit into my carry on easily on my global travels. The prompts will help me to capture and unpack the layers of my travel experiences in a fun, curious, creative, and intellectual way. Sometimes my thoughts while travelling are messy and/or unfocused, and this notebook will provide guidance in the different sections and topics to organize them in a way that's salient to me. I appreciate the holistic approach it takes to encourage you to consider all aspects of your travel journey. Happy journaling (and trails) to me :)

I love the idea behind the journal. As a Study Abroad Advisor I'm always looking for ways my students can embrace their experience before, during, and after, and this journal gives them that opportunity without being forced into these conversations. I purchased a copy to use at work and a few of my colleagues requested their own versions to use with their students. I like that it's creative and sparks deeper thinking. I'm looking forward to using it for my own travels and I can't wait to share with my students!
